Now Hiring: Manager of Advancement & Communications
McKoy Dance Project (MDP) is seeking a Manager of Advancement & Communications to support the organization’s fundraising, donor engagement, and advancement communications during an important phase of growth.
This role is central to MDP’s sustainability and works closely with Artistic Director & CEO Derick McKoy, Jr. to expand institutional funding, individual giving, and sponsorship support. The position also oversees key communications tied to fundraising and events, including e-blasts and quarterly newsletters.
This role is ideal for a self-directed advancement professional who is excited to grow with a mission-driven arts organization and help build systems that support artists and community impact.
Position Details
• Part-time, paid position
• $25/hour
• Minimum 5 hours/week
• Typically 8–10 hours/week
• Up to 15 hours/week during intensive periods (events, major deadlines, programs)
Primary Responsibilities Include:
• Grant research, writing, reporting, and renewals
• Individual donor cultivation and stewardship
• Corporate sponsorship and partnership research
• Fundraising and event communications (e-blasts, newsletters)
• Advancement tracking, reporting, and systems support
